Jeff Richmond Professional Writer/Photographer

Jeff Richmond has been a professional communicator/writer/photographer for more than 30 years, writing everything from magazine, news, and blog articles to technical whitepapers and business proposals. 

He was the senior proposal manager for a division of Lockheed Martin and proposal writer for Pratt and Whitney Engines, responsible for planning, writing and/or editing proposals for large research, development, and manufacturing contracts. He has also worked with many smaller companies seeking state and federal contracts for services, research, and construction.

Jeff has written more than 100 magazine articles on topics from natural history and aviation to farming in rural Tennessee.

Jeff is also an accomplished photographer and typically provides the photography to accompany articles or photographic illustrations for manuals and press releases.

The easiest way to see examples of Jeff’s writing is to visit his WordPress blog, Renaissance Musings*. This blog covers many topics from Jeff’s early years growing up on a farm in Virginia, to articles on travel, farming in Middle Tennessee, photography, aviation, and even a bit of politics.

Jeff, who recently became a member of the South Cumberland Chamber of Commerce, is available to write articles and histories of Grundy County businesses and, for members of the Chamber, these profiles may be posted on the Chamber’s website. And he will also provide the photos to accompany the article. 

Jeff and his wife Peggy, now live in the Providence Community in Pelham. They settled on property that has been in their family since the American Revolution. Jeff served in the USAF as a pilot and flight instructor.

Peggy is active in community affairs including as a member and officer is local, county, and regional groups of the Family Community Education (FCE) organization.
